Clay Pots Project

Instructions
(experience level: beginner)
Clay pots are a wonderful starting point for a project. There are many ways to decorate them and they are versatile in their end use, too. Clay pots can become longtime homes for your favorite houseplants, or they can decorate your corner cupboard to match the rest of your dining room decor. Whatever the end use, clay pots are the perfect afternoon project or gift for a friend.

NOTE: the Folk Art Blue Heart on the pot in the background of the photo above has been discontinued.

Paint body of pot with an eggshell color paint and then paint the rim and inside with navy blue.

Place Red Folk Art Heart WALLIES® Cutouts around center of the pot.

Paint "stitches" with the same navy blue paint as on the rim. Use a fine brush and simply make a dotted line. Don't worry about measuring a straight line to paint by. Just use the edge of the rim and bottom edge of pot as your guide, painting the dotted line about 1/8" away.
