The
following is a bio of the creator of the "Caught Up In Stitches"
line of sewing patterns.
I am the sole designer of the unique "Caught Up In Stitches"
patterns. From 1981-83, I owned a country craft shop in Jefferson
City, MO. It was then that I started to dabble in designing patterns
to make things to sell in the shop. When my husband was transferred
in 1983, we moved to Wichita, KS. For four years I was a stay-at-home
mom, but it was hard to keep a crafter out of commission for too
long. In 1987 I started my pattern business under the name of "Keeping
You In Stitches." In 1997, however, our name was changed to
"Caught Up In Stitches" due to a trademark conflict. Everything
else has remained the same and we continue to publish the same high
quality patterns we always have. My husband, Ed, joined the business
in 1989 and we have been working together ever since. Our 17 year-old
son, Brian, is credited with doing a lot of the computer layouts
for the patterns. Each year we attend three major international
wholesale markets around the country. In our spare time, when not
working on patterns, playing golf has become a family affair. I
hope you will enjoy making these craft patterns as much as I have
enjoyed designing them. I will be introducing new gift items, pattern
kits, etc. to our website on a monthly basis.
