Kayla Kennington

Kayla Kennington has been creating extraordinary hand-dyed silk clothing, costumes, and fine art dolls professionally for the past 25 years. These include custom pieces for private clients, collections for galleries worldwide and very elaborate costume pieces for Obiko of San Francisco.

Kayla is the "Créme de la Crème" winner of both the 2001 and 2002 Bernina Fashion Show for the "Butterfly Coat" and the "Fire Blossom Phoenix" showpieces. Her previous career as an integrated circuit design specialist in the high tech industry has contributed much to her ability to engineer complex works of art-to-wear. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kayla has recently moved to Portland Oregon, where she has a work-at-home studio/office. Click here to read more about Kayla
