A message from the creator of Jalie

Dear friend,
My goal since 1983 when Jalie was first created, was to transmit to you this love
that I have for sewing. Looking back, I realize that my mother played a very
important role in helping me to discover my talent. Many hours were spent watching
her repair, cut, adjust and assemble the clothes she made for our family of ten
children.
It is not surprising that during my teenage years I started sewing for friends and
neighbors. It is also through the encouragement of my loved-ones that at the age
of 29, I founded "Jalie Patterns inc.". The company has expanded ever
since, and today I am proud to say that Jalie patterns are available all around
the world.
Everyone who has used Jalie patterns, tremendously appreciates their simplicity,
their easy-to-follow instructions and methods of sewing. The possibility of cutting
up to 32 different sizes from the same pattern, allows both the beginners and
experienced seamstresses to be very creative, not to mention all the economical
advantages they can encounter.
The entrepreneurship spirit of the people from the Beauce region of Quebec, where
I was born, has much to do with the sucess of Jalie, a business which is the only
one of its kind in the province of Quebec.
Your support when you purchase a Jalie pattern encourages me to create new designs
to suit today's styles. Your satisfaction and pride upon completing a garment are
very important to me and it is with great interest, that I await your comments and
suggestions.
