"As a clothing designer and quilter I focus on mixing textures in clothing
and quilting. My focus is on a flattering fit for the clothes with an outstanding
combinations of fabrics. I have a strong Asian influence to my designs and fabric
choices, this covers not just Japan, but India, Persia and China."
About the Designer:
Akasha Clothing came into being in 1996, as a personal commitment made by Andrea
Steell to follow her passion. A love of clothing and textiles and the desire to
trust her intuition has led to clothing that is both beautiful on the inside as
well as the outside and enhances the body in style and fit.
She is currently working on new patterns, creating art quilts and Feng Shui panels
for the home. Andrea has won numerous awards in the U.S. and Canada for her designs. |
